Risk Analyst/Loan Underwriter
ACCION New York (ACCION NY) is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to providing loans to self-employed individuals who have limited or no access to traditional business credit.
POSITION TITLE: Risk Analyst/Loan Underwriter
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze cash flow, income and expense trends, and both personal and corporate credit reports for client businesses to determine borrower creditworthiness.
- Synthesize all credit and financial information collected during the loan interview and make final loan recommendations.
- Make final decisions on loans up to a specified credit amount and present loans to both internal and external Credit Committees above that amount.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Commitment to community development work and to a program mission of providing credit and support services to entrepreneurs.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.
