Manufacturing

Manufacturing -the Newest CPP Industry Niche

NCCED has joined forces with the National Association of Manufacturers' Center for Workforce Success to develop business opportunities for industry in CDC areas. The Center for Workforce Success is a nationally known organization which works with individual manufacturers to identify specific training needs. With the turnaround in urban land economics CDC owned land can be very attractive to manufacturers. CDCs also are plugged into local workforce development and social service systems. Thus, a win-win situation can be created for the manufacturer and the CDC. Again, the Corporate Registry will be a useful tool for manufacturers and CDCs to identify potential opportunities.
