EDAC is pleased to announce that Mike Savage has become an affiliate and the head of our Rural Economic Development Division. As HUD's long-time deputy and Acting Director of the Office of Economic Development, Mike had operational/oversight responsibility for EZs, Youthbuild, and Rural Housing & Economic Development. He is also a co-founder and board member of the newly formed Consortium of Community University Partnerships (NCCUP) and is on the editorial board of the Economic Development Quarterly. Mike is available to assist CDCs and local governments in strategy development, resource identification and in qualifying for state, federal and foundation assistance. He will also lead EDAC's (pre-submission) grant review/critique team for organizations and agencies preparing applications for HUD re: EDI/BEDI (due 5/24), COPC (5/10), Rural Economic Development (4/7), HBCU/Hisp. Serv. (5/10) and Youthbuild (6/6).
