J. David Sweeny recently completed economic development research for Capital Region Growth Council in Hartford, CT (made up of industry, government and insurance) to formulate a regional economic development growth strategy and plan. He developed an evaluation matrix to score and rank different economic development projects in the region, made recommendations for project modifications and improvements and completed narrative evaluations and descriptions of all projects being considered for development. Mr. Sweeny is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Greenpoint Manufacturing and Design Center Local Development Corporation in Brooklyn, New York. As the Director, he manages one of the foremost shared manufacturing incubator facilities in the Northeast. He is the author of a recently published case study on the Business Outreach Center Network and serves on the BOC's Board of Directors. Mr. Sweeny is a specialist in venture development, strategic venture marketing and business plan preparation. He is also the Managing Principal of Public Development Services. Mr. Sweeny has developed joint venture development programs with government agencies, lending intermediaries and community organizations.
