The Position:
Our client desires to attract a proactive individual to provide leadership, strategic vision and direction for all activities directed toward new business development for the Community / Government Sector. The successful candidate will capitalize on his/her solid community development expertise to help potential community development leaders and city government clients think through strategies to attract and grow business in their communities. He/she will be able to maximize relationship building within communities and governments because he/she will display a combination of community development and commercial real estate knowledge and our clients’ cutting edge intelligence regarding these consumers/markets. This is a hands-on ground floor opportunity reporting directly to the President.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a community development organization or the Department of Planning & Development within city government.
  • Knowledge of commercial development projects; “on the ground” neighborhood exposure; knowledge of community development strategies
  • 1-2 years in a Consulting firm calling on community leaders and city government clients.
  • Outside sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend technical work and articulate its’ value to clients.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as a team player of utmost importance.
  • Requires good writing skills and verbal communication skills.

    Education:
    MBA required, Spanish preferred.

    Travel:
    Some travel is required.
