About This Bibliography 

The NCCED in early 1999 published the firstcomprehensive, annotated bibliography for faith-based community economicdevelopment. It covers the literature about faith-based CED but also includes reliable,easy to obtain information on the many organizational and technical topics essential tothis work.

The full bibliography is more than 50 pages in lengthand contains more than 140 entries-- books, articles and videos, organized under sevenmajor headings and 24 subheadings. It also list of source of literature not produced bycommercial or university presses and has sections on other periodicals, CED internet sitesand other organizations to contact for information. Elliott Wright edited thebibliography, with the assistance of Eric Clay, Esther Prins, Michael Mata, Arden Shank,Carol E. Wayman, Mark Weinheimer and Wheeler Winstead. Partial funding came from the LillyEndowment Inc. and the Chase Manhattan Foundation .

This on-line version reproduces the major headings andtwo or three sample annotations from each subsection. The full lists of Internet sites andsources are included.

Updates are posted on-line at intervals of one monthto six weeks. The additions will be incorporated into later editions of the bibliography.
