Department of Labor Issues NEW Grants
for Community and Faith-based Organizations
On April 4, 2003 the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration announced the availability of $3.75 million in grants for intermediaries and grassroots faith-based and community organizations. Programs funded by these grants are aimed at enhancing collaboration between community stakeholders and One-Stop Career Centers. $3.5 million will be awarded to 7-12 intermediary organizations. Grants to intermediaries are expected to range between $300,000-$500,000. $250,000 will be awarded to 10-12 small "grassroots" faith-based and community organizations.
