Tell the New Administration to Support a Strong FY 2002 HUD Budget!
Even though Congress just finalized HUD's FY 2001 budget, discussions around the FY 2002 budget are already in progress. This is a great opportunity for you to tell the New Administration to give HUD a strong FY 2002 budget, so that it can continue to support programs that provide access to affordable housing for low-income households.
NCCED is an active member of the Campaign for Housing and Community Development Funding (CHCDF), and CHCDF has put together a sign-on letter to the next President to show him the tremendous, nationwide support for HUD programs. Last year, 1,500 organizations signed onto the letter. This year, we want to double that number to really demonstrate support for a strong FY 2002 HUD budget.
Signing on is easy!! Just fax NCCED the attached form, or visit our website at http://www.ncced.org/policy/write10/write10home.html to read the letter and download the sign-on form. Then, fax or email the sign-on form to:
NCCED has committed to getting 500 signatures, so send in your sign-on forms today!!
CHCDF will be sending the letter to the new President in mid-December, so please submit your responses to Allison no later than Friday, December 8, 2000.
You are also welcome to leverage this letter to write your own to send to the Hill, or to share the letter with others you know who may want to sign on. However, we ask that you also agree to sign onto this effort to really show the next Administration the strength of NCCEDs membership and our industry.
