NCCED helps CDCs identify funding opportunities to build their capacity and undertake community economic development activities.
|
Community Economic Development Sources of Revenue
CDCs support their community economic development activities through grants, loans, donations, and income-generating projects. These funds come from the public sector including federal, state, and local governments and the private sector including intermediaries, corporate and private philanthropies, business partnerships, and quasi-private entities such as the Federal Home Loan Bank System, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac. NCCED provides a number of publications to assist a CDC in accessing appropriate funding sources.
