History of the CDLA

Most of the participants in our programs are from colleges and universities that lack any sort of programming in community development, from specific classes to career counseling on the field.
Part of this is due to the fact that many of the public policy and administration schools are just beginning to add community development components to the curriculum. However, our participants have become interested in the field through research, volunteering, attending conferences or by seeing a story in the newspaper or on television.
