MATURE Rx®
Key Program Components
NCCED is offering a Prescription Benefit Card (PBC) at NO COST.
Organizations may distribute NCCED/PBCs to their employees, board members, residents, donors, etc. |
Cardholders can save up to 65% on purchases of generic prescription medications and most brand name prescription medications; more than 50,000 participating pharmacies nationwide accept the card. |
To use the card to purchase prescription medication, the cardholder simply presents the NCCED/PBC, along with a valid doctor's prescription, at any participating pharmacy |
Savings are at point of sale. The pharmacy will deduct any savings from the cost of the prescription, and the cardholder pays the balance. No claims or forms to submit. |
For even greater savings on non-immediate prescription needs and maintenance medication, using the mail order service may be convenient. Wal-Mart mail order service is available toll-free. |
Toll-free telephone numbers are provided to each NCCED/PBC holder for cardholder assistance. |
The NCCED/PBC holder can use their card as often as they wish to purchase prescription medications. |
What if you have a health care plan? The NCCED/PBC is not health insurance, so the NCCED/PBC holder does not have to stop their other health care plan. However, they cannot use the NCCED/PBC and another health plan prescription coverage at the same time. In other words, the cardholder cannot give the pharmacy their NCCED/PBC and their other health plan and receive two discounts. They will have to use one or the other, and should use whichever offers them the greatest savings. |
The NCCED/PBC holder may purchase prescription medications for members of their family. |
An NCCED/PBC holder must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. |
