NCCED and The International Council of Shopping Centers Team Up for Ohio Retail Development Training On July 29, 2003, NCCED and ICSC will provide a one-day training event to assist CDCs to do retail development. This program will provide the nuts and bolts of retail development projects including retail market analysis and site selection. In addition, attendees will hear from fellow CDC practitioners on the various roles that CDCs can play in retail development from neighborhood facilitation to equity partner. Speakers at the event include Don Sassano, ICSC Ohio State Director and commercial realtor, Fran Spencer, Assistant Commissioner, City of Chicago, and Anita Brindza, Cudell Improvement, Inc. This program is the first in what NCCED hopes to be a long-term partnership with ICSC to provide regional trainings to members to assist them in planning and developing retail services in emerging markets.
